Welcome to the brand new Omaha Lacrosse Club Blog!

Who are we? Omaha Lacrosse Club encourages, cultivates, and develops the interest in and appreciation of the sport of lacrosse for youth in Omaha, Nebraska.  As Nebraska's premier youth lacrosse club, we strive to advance the growth of both boys and girls lacrosse by providing quality instruction, coaching of fundamentals, skills, techniques and strategies.  We provide a safe and fun environment and emphasize the development of self-esteem, good sportsmanship, fitness, achievement, and affirmative values that team sports provide.  Our goal is to to let kids play lacrosse without sports politics or pressure; for the love of playing the game.

Lacrosse is not only considered the first North American sport, it is currently the fastest growing sport in America right now!

What is Lacrosse? Here's a great video from US Lacrosse giving a great overview of the sport and shows the differences between men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse.

OLC is a great place to call home for both experienced players and those who are new to the sport. We have age level recreational teams both in the spring and fall, as well as an elite level travel team during the summer. Throughout the year OLC hosts Free Clinics for those new to the game as well as Skills & Drills clinics for more experienced players wanting to keep their skills sharp.  You can click on the link on the right sidebar of the blog to register for any and all Teams, Clinics and Events currently available through OLC.

We look forward to using this blog to keep in touch with our current members via updates on practices, games and tournament information as well as posting game results and photos, as well as reaching out to those interested in more information about our sport and our club.
